In the far Northern Hemisphere, the small town of Barrow, Alaska, experiences a solid month of darkness every year. Though most of the residents head south for the winter, some townspeople remain behind. However, those that stay regret their decision when, one year, hungry vampires descend on Barrow to feed. Sheriff Eben (Josh Hartnett), his wife (Melissa George) and a dwindling band of survivors must try to last until dawn breaks over Barrow's monthlong twilight.

Frankly, after you've seen one writhing, orgiastic vampire feeding, you've seen them all. Go to Full Review

A real baying-at-the-moon gorefest, unusual both for its savagery and for a half-decent performance from Hartnett. Go to Full Review

…a proficient B-movie that really works some terrific jump scares and baroque visuals…a bloody siege with vampires in an Alaska town, David Slade’s lurid, gory horror wears its genre origins with pride…. Go to Full Review

I appreciated the family and character dynamics introduced in the first act, but honestly by act two when people start dying I didn’t really care who they were or how they were important to the story. It’s vampire time baby! Go to Full Review

An entertaining horror and action film that, by presenting vampires as truly monstrous and ruthless creatures, manages to create an incredibly suspenseful experience. [Full review in Spanish]. Go to Full Review

Draco S Jan 16, 2019 One of the best all time movies about vampires that I have seen...hands down!!! Original, scary, fast paced, and great, great story. See more
Han M May 21, 2018 I like how the movie just sticks to a simple story that flows evenly throughout the film. No crazy new takes on vampires. Just the regular stuff like sun and headshots kill them. See more
Rey G May 13, 2018 1/10. 100 minutes of nothing.
Harry S Apr 10, 2018 not scary, unless you're afraid of vampires. the plot is very good, but for some reason the final product falls short of that. nothing wrong with the acting (josh hartnett leads the way). overall it's a good film, that could've been a lot more. See more
Hermione G Jan 2, 2018 30 Days of Night has its fair share of flaws and cliches, but compared to Twilight it's a masterpiece. It's not perfect, but it portrays vampires the way they were meant to be portrayed. They're not romantic, the DO NOT SPARKLE, they don't want to seduce us. They are apex predators and we are their food. Danny Huston steals the show as the vampire leader Marlow, and Josh Hartnett, Melissa George, and Manu Bennett all give strong performances as well. The editing could be better, but it's plenty scary and the action is intense. See more
Hermione R Dec 8, 2017 30 Days of Night is a disappointing film. It is about an Alaskan town that is plunged into darkness for a month, and it is attacked by a bloodthirsty gang of vampires. Josh Hartnett and Melissa George give horrible jobs. The screenplay is badly written. David Slade did a terrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture. See more
