When cops Schmidt and Jenko join the secret Jump Street unit, they use their youthful appearances to go undercover as high-school students. They trade in their guns and badges for backpacks, and set out to shut down a dangerous drug ring. But, as time goes on, Schmidt and Jenko discover that high school is nothing like it was just a few years earlier -- and, what's more, they must again confront the teenage terror and anxiety they thought they had left behind.

Tambay Obenson Shadow and Act Aug 14, 2017
Not that the original series was high-brow/must-see television, but I figured any remake of it in the 21st century would at least be far more ambitious than this tired bit of recycling. Go to Full Review

The late-eighties TV series is rebooted with jolts of sentiment, personal discovery, and wild comedy. Go to Full Review

It has a tone all its own: drunk enough to lower the inhibitions; not so drunk that it becomes unintelligible. Go to Full Review

Let's face it. Genitalia jokes and people on drugs are funny. Cringing over homophobia and stereotypes is funny. Go to Full Review

Here’s a movie that’s aware of all its clichés, but somehow, with no limit of energy and humor, uses our awareness of these formulas as its strength. Go to Full Review

While some original films make it through the cracks, almost everything these days is a sequel, reboot, or remake...our wallets are what do the talking and we keep rewarding Hollywood for this behavior. Go to Full Review

Albus S Apr 23, 2019 How do you take a doomed TV remake, and turn it into an extremely funny comedy? Phil Lord and Chris Miller, that's who. 21 Jump Street is one of the best comedies of the past decade. The script was so fresh and wickedly hilarious. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum have phenomenal chemistry together. The over-the-top action is very satisfying. Plus, the underground messages within it are truly rewarding. Might stretch a little bit away from reality, but it was still amazing regardless. See more
Apr 22, 2019 A master class in "Feel-good comedy" that is so tongue-and-cheek, in a good way! As an adaptation, this film understands how o tonally adapt an outdated franchise for the modern big screen and its "fresh" perspective on the usual "buddy-cop" tropes have worked superfluously. The characters are relatable and extremely like-able and it has a memorable theme too! But the main reason this movie works is the chemistry between its two lead actors! See more
Mar 8, 2019 Silly fun, with laughs at the expense of the original series.
Abraham S Jan 31, 2019 A film that should never have been as funny or entertaining as it is. A classic in the modern buddy-cop genre.
Leia L Jan 26, 2019 way better than expected, a lot of fun to watch, make sure to check out the sequel
Hagrid W Jan 24, 2019 Insanely funny at times. Unfortunately the consistency of laughs teeters off at the later part of the movie as it forces the cliche plot along. Tatum and Hills comedic chemistry is surprisingly strong, allowing Channing to display that he offers more than sex appeal as an actor. Much better than your typical revamp cash in that we typically see with a film like this. See more
