The story's too elementary, but a strong lead performance and clever staging make "2036" something committed genre fans might appreciate. Go to Full Review

British visual effects expert turned director Hasraf Dulull makes the most of his limited resources, while Sackhoff's sterling, largely solo performance holds our attention to the end. Go to Full Review

Aside from a slightly jarring clash between the almost-too-clinical space-bound model work and the interior shots of Sackhoff at work, there is little to dislike here, and a fair amount to enjoy. Go to Full Review
Becky Kukla Film Inquiry Aug 14, 2018
It doesn't just make overt references to 2001, it seems to copy and paste signature motifs, themes and symbols. Kubrick's sci-fi epic is not a film that many directors would want their work held up against and 2036 doesn't hold up well at all. Go to Full Review

Apr 13, 2019 This movie sucked so bad I'll never get back the damage it did to my waste of time
Rey G Apr 10, 2019 Not good. This movie falls victim to the two worst and most overdone sci-fi conclusions: 1. Humans are self-destructive, but there is something not terrible about them and SCIENCE will save them because, you know, sciencey types would never use knowledge for evil. See more
Rey L Apr 7, 2019 Seriously wish I had spent that time cleaning my toilets. Wow, one for the Razzies
Apr 1, 2019 Katee is great despite the dismal script and set. And this from a guy who normally loves cerebral sci-fi flics,
George P Mar 29, 2019 What a confusing, blatant copy of 2001,
George P Mar 17, 2019 I expected that I would like it as it covered subject matter I usually enjoy, but nope. Slow, unnecessarily confusing and an awfuil ending. I gave it 2 stars for the periods of promise it showed. See more
