This clay animation feels as if it was written by the early Woody Allen. Actually the genius behind it is Adam Elliot, who wrote, designed and directed this eccentric, wryly funny story. Go to Full Review

Ultimately, Mary and Max is about correspondence and lack of correspondence, about how our images and fantasies about others fail to match up to what they are like, and about the constitutive gaps and misfirings in any communicational practice. Go to Full Review

It's a 20-year story that absorbs and beguiles, despite the ugly subject matter. Go to Full Review

Films as brilliant as ‘Mary And Max’ don’t come along very often. If I had to grade it out of ten I would give it one hundred. Go to Full Review

Aug 18, 2018 A beautiful movie about depression, anxiety and the portrayal of Asperger's syndrome. I loved how the humor was mixed in and amidst all the sadness I still laughed at times. This is a great movie and even though it is animated it touches the most mature aspects of human life. A must watch !! See more
Anakin G Aug 12, 2018 With the decadent amount literal chocolate and sweetened condensed milk, there's no way consider this film "bittersweet", despite the ups and downs in the lives of these beautiful, unique characters. Detailed, riveting, and moving. Lovely. See more
Anakin S Jul 11, 2018 Superb clay animation, dealing successfully with sensitive issues. It's a pity it didn't get the attention it deserved during the time it was released. See more
Finn W Mar 22, 2018 Wonderfully animated yet thoroughly bleak, and stuffed with emotional artistry, the limited reaches of this film's efforts at least accomplish its biggest purpose: to teach us the importance of finding true friends. See more
Theodore W Mar 10, 2018 A BEAUTIFUL story of love, friendship, and mental illnesses. this movie can make you cry and laugh in a span of ten minutes, and then it will move you. I just can't get enough of this movie! See more
