What to Know

Critics Consensus

Despite the presence of Halle Berry and Bruce Willis, Perfect Stranger is too convoluted to work, and features a twist ending that's irritating and superfluous. It's a techno-thriller without thrills.

The movie doesn't add up to much: the plot meanders, there are too many red herrings, and the end doesn't really justify the means. Go to Full Review

The movie shows that the only thing worse than a generically screwy thriller is one with a selective narrator -- and one that doesn't give viewers a fair chance to play along. Go to Full Review

Columbia seems to be on a one-studio mission to revive that very '90s of film genres, the erotic thriller--or are they determined to kill it off for good, considering such poor efforts as this listless Halle Berry vehicle? Go to Full Review

Poe S Jan 5, 2019 It's a good movie and Halle Berry is a standout! Bruce Willis is only so-so, but, overall, it's not a bad way to spend and hour-and-a-half of your life.... See more
Anakin M Dec 13, 2018 A good twist feels inevitable even if you never saw the ending coming; the twist here, conversely, remains ineffable, with absolutely nothing coming together in the end, as if the filmmakers had done no work to set up the surprise, and were themselves shocked by the final reveal. Harry S Aug 1, 2018 1.5/5. Perfect Stranger has one of the most WTF twist endings I have ever seen, but not in a good way. Bruce Willis is fine and there are one or two enjoyable moments, but Halle Berry and Giovanni Ribisi are both awful and most of the movie is boring or simply makes no sense. See more
Theodore S Apr 2, 2018 Wanted to enjoy it but its incredibly slow and boring.
Draco S Feb 5, 2018 Suspenseful! Nice twists! Halle Berry is incredible as always.
Hagrid M Jan 6, 2018 The title made me watch the movie but it is a very dumb movie?. Don't watch at any cost.
