Aug 11, 2017 I come back to watch this ever few years, it's such a unique story that follows 9 very interesting characters and their lives after prison and I've never really seen anything like it since. It's sometimes dark sometimes funny and often bizarre, it's quaint with melancholy undertones assisted by it's wistful accounting soundtrack. Overall it's a very human story on suffering, belonging and love and is well worth the watch for anybody and any age group from teen and up looking to explore hidden gems in Japanese cinema. See more
