On a flight transporting dangerous convicts, murderer Ryan Weaver (Ray Liotta) manages to break free and cause complete chaos throughout the plane. As various people on board fall victim to Weaver, it is ultimately down to flight attendant Teri Halloran (Lauren Holly) to keep the aircraft from crashing, with on-ground support from an air traffic controller (Ben Cross). While Halloran struggles to pilot the plane, Weaver continues to terrorize the surviving members of the crew.

Turbulence thrashes about like a formula action picture that has stepped on a live wire: It's dead, but doesn't stop moving. It looks like it cost a lot of money, but none of that money went into quality.

It might not be quite as silly a premise as snakes on a plane, but a serial killer on a plane doesn’t sound like there’s much room to maneuver, either for the killer or the screenwriter.

Silly and unoriginal exploitation; watchable for Ray Liotta's no holds barred overperformance - if you can take it.

Far-fetched laughable in parts kept me entertained Ray Lolita great comedy Edge his expressions and acting techniques were most entertaining cannot take this film seriously it won't win any awards but it certainly kept me interested from the start and certainly worth more than two stars all in all not a bad film at all I've seen far worse

Do you love watching Ray Liotta chew up the scenery as only he can? Of course you do, and he's the only reason this schlocky '90s heap remotely works.

One of my all time favourite terrible movies. Liotta's completely off the handle performance reaches Nic Cage levels of looniness. Its dumb, its derivative and it's damn fun.

Synopsis

On a flight transporting dangerous convicts, murderer Ryan Weaver (Ray Liotta) manages to break free and cause complete chaos throughout the plane.
