In this all-new tale, Cruella De Vil is released from prison on good behavior vowing that she will have nothing to do with fur ever again. She, however, cannot keep this promise and is soon plotting another "fur-ocious" scheme to get her ultimate Dalmatian coat. The fun and adventure shift into high gear as Cruella and the dogs romp through Paris.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

This sequel to the live-action 101 Dalmatians is simply more of the same. Critics say it also drags in parts, potentially boring children, and that it's too violent for a G-rated movie.

When the only good thing about your movie is Glenn Close screaming like a crazy person, the more vigor she brings, the more worthy the film is of bothering with. Go to Full Review

There is no reason for this sequel to the already-pointless 1996 live action remake of the classic Disney cartoon to exist, and the filmmakers fail to come up with any convincing pretense of justification. Go to Full Review

Abraham W Mar 9, 2019 I remember loving this film as a kid. Rewatching the film as an adult, the film does not hold up. I really remember the third act of the film before rewatching the film and it is going to be the only thing I remember. There are two fun scenes in my opinion. The ending and Cruella De Vil transformation back into her evil self. Glenn close is the only great thing from the film. This is not one you need to seek out if you have not seen it. See more
Han W Mar 31, 2018 This film isn't harmful in any way, but it's undoubtedly pretty bad. It's got terrible slapstick humor, awful writing, and relatively abysmal acting (except, of course, by Glenn Close.) Besides the cute dogs, the only good thing about it is that it might qualify for a movie that's so-bad-its-good. See more
Ron R Jan 6, 2018 Three years after her first dog-napping scheme ended in disaster, under the influence of a formula designed to turn enemies into friends, Cruella De Vil (Glenn Close) now loves dogs and hates fur. Unfortunately a design flaw soon reverts her back to her old evil ways, and with the assistance of the snooty French Furrier Leplet (Gerard Depardieu) plans to create the ultimate fur coat. Only the spotless Dalmatian Oddball and Waddlesworth (Eric Idle) a parrot that thinks he's a dog, can stand in her way... Glenn Close once again steals the show as Cruella, with her best moments coming from the first act as she portrays a seemingly nice lady which just cracks me up when you remember how much of a ham she was in the first film. Unfortunately despite Eric Idle getting a few funny moments as the talking parrot, like the first film, 102 Dalmatians feels completely pointless, that and the desison to use a completely CGI puppy for the character of Oddball, amongst all the real dogs used in this film, does look creepy at times. Poe P Oct 6, 2017 Not as good as the first one but I still think this one was ok
Finn P Jun 20, 2017 Unfortunately, Glenn Close couldn't save this one.
Ron R Apr 24, 2017 I did not like this film as much as I though I would. The original animated "101 Dalmatians" is the best and the live action is ok. This one does not connect to the first as much as it should. I enjoy watching Glen Close portraying Cruela DeVil but that's about it. See more
