When bachelor Walter Davis (Bruce Willis) is set up with his sister-in-law's pretty cousin, Nadia Gates (Kim Basinger), a seemingly average blind date turns into a chaotic night on the town. Walter's brother, Ted (Phil Hartman), tells him not to let Nadia drink alcohol, but he dismisses the warning, and her behavior gets increasingly wild. Walter and Nadia's numerous incidents are made even worse as her former lover David (John Larroquette) relentlessly follows them around town.

Critics Consensus

Blind Date has all the ingredients for a successful madcap comedy, but the end results suggest director Blake Edwards has lost his once-reliable touch.

Rambo, the family Great Dane, provides the film with some of its funniest visual and aural gags.

As Edwards well understand, the perfect farcical situation creates mayhem in staid, highly structured social situations.

There are pratfalls aplenty and enough animal antics to elicit a few giggles, but Willis and Basinger never quite bring the necessary spark to the roles and the film disappears as fast as a bag of popcorn.

[Blu-ray Review] Increasingly contrived and longwinded at just 95 minutes, this is the kind of film that has been helmed with skill despite lackluster material.

I haven't seen Blind Date in ages now cause it's been a while since I've seen it and remember how funny it was. Considering this is Bruce Willis's first film which is credited since he starred in Moonlighting which I love because I watch parts of it of where he sings. That's funny. I found this movie to be good and it has it's funny scenes and I found the trailer to be funny where Bruce Willis is in jail after being drunk along with Kim Basinger. I wish they keep the scene in the film like they keep in the trailer and that's it. I have nothing more to say anything about it.
