Critics Consensus

Featuring wooden performances and minimal scares, The Eye is another tedious remake of an Asian horror film.

Jessica Alba may be easy on the eyes, but a lack of dramatic heft makes her hard on The Eye. Go to Full Review

With every twist of the second-hand plot telegraphed far in advance, you don't need to be clairvoyant to see where this is going. Go to Full Review

Effectively creepsome until it bogs down somewhat in plot explication. Go to Full Review

It proves less cohesive than your average Asian horror remake due to the troubled production and a star incapable of relating dramatic tension. Go to Full Review

Along with Posey's disappointing turn here, Nivola is uncomfortably weak. Go to Full Review

Albus R Apr 27, 2019 Couple of jolts to start with before fading into something ridiculous whilst retained oppositely that would most likely leave you unimpressed since there is no sight to behold. (C+) See more
Luke L Jan 19, 2019 All I really have to say about this movie is why does a corneal transplant that allows you to see ghosts also allow you to hear them? See more
Han M Dec 19, 2018 Awesome movie. Lots of great actors and an awesome storyline. Good scares.
George R Nov 23, 2018 The idea is great but they acting is below average.Alba started well got her eyes and the film started to lose it's ability to be a descent horror as she got her sight back. If you can tell what happens next in a horror and predict what each actor will say then im sorry but game over See more
Anakin W Jun 21, 2017 This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The acting was terrible the special effects were terrible. So what are you left with? A hurried movie that fails to scare or keep you in suspense. There were a few parts that I enjoyed only to switch back to crap. It's a shame too because there were chances in the script that could have made it really good. The only thing worse than this movie was that my eyes didn't fall out so I had to watch it all. See more
Anakin W Apr 4, 2017 Not as bad as it was made out to be. Not a bad little supernatural thriller.
