When a family en route to a Christmas Eve gathering decides to take a shortcut down a wooded road, an eerie sequence of events signals trouble ahead. After nearly colliding with an oncoming car, father Frank picks up a ghostly hitchhiker and her infant child. With the sudden appearance of their new passengers, the route becomes dark and treacherous -- and the family's numbers rapidly begin to dwindle in a series of seemingly connected, grisly roadside accidents.

Dead End takes a car ride and slowly builds it from something mildly disconcerting to something so horrifying and perverse that I knew it was something special many years ago after I first watched it. Go to Full Review

The ending, which comes out of nowhere for no one other than the characters, will urge viewers to deduct points from the overall score, but this is a movie where the journey is far more important than the destination. Go to Full Review

Draco G Dec 25, 2018 A good horror + a good comedy = Great Movie
Albus S Sep 24, 2018 A notch above the usual thriller fare.
George L Aug 5, 2018 The characters can be quite unpleasant but the actors make everything really fun to watch, as the movie flirts with absurdity to the point of hilarious (especially when family secrets come up in the most bizarre situations) and offers us enough tension to compensate for its silliness. Ron M Jun 8, 2018 A misunderstood film with hints of dark comedy that will detour you into your own imagination.
Luke R Feb 2, 2018 Starts out really promising, but the awful screenplay and the uneven and misguided comedic tone of the film weighs the entire movie down, even if the ending "resolves" everything. See more
Hermione M Nov 16, 2017 The worst horror film I have ever seen. :(
