Yes, Cregger’s Resident Evil isn’t a faithful adaptation of the game, but it makes you feel the same thrills you get from playing the game, and that, my friends, is infinitely more powerful.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed watching this. I laughed at the sunblock scene and the spider story at the cocktail party [...] and I swooned at other moments because Bateman is hella sexy, but I wanted something with more heart and genuine feeling.

I Want Your Sex is campy, sexy, messy – it’s absolute chaos with a buckload of chemistry between Wilde and Hoffman.

[Nolan's] adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey isn’t entirely faithful, but it doesn’t have to be. It’s a lush, expansive reinterpretation of what war, violence and conquest does to human civilisation. [...] an absolute beast of a film.

Spider-Man’s known for his little quips and jokes, and Holland absolutely nails every single aspect of the performance. I have always enjoyed him in the role, but this is the first time I feel he’s truly embodied the character.

Horror may bring us into contact with otherworldly spaces or supernatural forces, but the genre is undeniably human. I don’t know if Backrooms ever elevates itself to be something more than its creepy lore.

We’ve frustrated because we know how good Spielberg is, but in the case of Disclosure Day, the script does not measure up to the craft, and that’s the real truth.

Lopez and Goldstein’s megawatt chemistry makes me lament the weak spots in the script. There’s not enough here to best J.Lo’s iconic rom-coms [...] but it’s a pretty decent watch for a weekend date night.

[...] even from the peripheries of the film, Garfield commands every single scene he’s in. On paper, Tim is some kind of manic pixie dream boy, but he makes him so much more. We feel his disappointments, his losses and his triumphs.
