Despite its flaws, this is surprisingly watchable, delivering an effectively twisted take on the usually saccharine Hallmark genre.

It’s by no means unwatchable, and when it’s firing on all cylinders (in the lift scene, for example), it’s a lot of fun. It’s just a shame that level of enjoyment and invention isn’t sustained throughout the whole film.

This is a striking debut for Wetscher, perfectly capturing the pain and confusion of intense adolescent friendships, as well as the disruptive intrusion of the adult world into innocent childhoods.

"Red Rocks" is a terrific piece of work from Dumont that feels unique and distinct. By turns suspenseful, playfully funny, and full of emotional weirdness, it's not just one of the best films at Cannes, it's also one of the best films of the year.

This is an emotionally engaging documentary that plays like an intimate independent drama thanks to Voiseux’s singular style of filmmaking. After the completion of this ten-year project, it will be fascinating to see what he does next.

This is a highly accomplished debut that impresses on multiple levels: as a finely observed portrait of female friendship, an exploration of the impact of trauma, and a rage-inducing look at the way society still fails so many victims of sexual assault.

This is a richly textured, thought-provoking period drama and queer coming-of-age story that does justice to the real-life character of Jane, finally giving her a long-overdue place at the center of her own story. Highly recommended.
