Consider this another strong documentary from Score G Productions, a film factory that has given entertainment fans inside looks at hockey enforcers, Danny Trejo, Grant Fuhr, Michael Bisping, Phil Heath, and now Dolph Lundgren.

Reeves, looking like his well-known character John Wick here, fits nicely into the role of Gabriel. The best kept secret skillset of the veteran actor is that he doesn’t have to do much to emote on screen, or get a message across.

Ridley Scott continues to be a mixed bag behind the camera. This one fails on multiple levels, and wastes some fine talent.

Sadly, this Jason Statham vehicle fails to match his usual entertaining action theater. Only one fight is memorable and the film gets going too late for the genre demands.

While there is some fine acting on display here, there’s a detached feel that makes little land emotionally. Tone deaf and ending right when it’s getting somewhere, this one doesn’t scream must watch.

Working for the second time with Ayer, Pitt gives one of the finest performances of his career with only a dog as his screen partner for most of the movie as a man who has dedicated his retirement to the pursuit of peace for his beloved friend.

While Affleck burrows himself in the role of a blunt yet noble cop, it’s Damon who gives the best performance in the film as the Lieutenant who has to decide what to do and how to locate a snitch. They're aging like fine wine.

You can feel the burden of parenthood through Byrne’s acting and Bronstein’s storytelling, and that makes this one worth recommending. If you can stick with it, there’s something to be appreciated in the film’s final shot.

If this keeps original movies in big theaters, I am all for it. While the finish and polish will improve with age, Markiplier makes enough of a dent with his first feature. It wasn’t a streaming release, but a big house only release. Breathe that in.

There are a handful of movie stars who can hide in plain sight on screen. Maybe more, or possibly even less than a handful. Matthew McConaughey can lead a movie without too much makeup, a change in speech, or any extra tool that isn’t necessary.

It’s Statham’s athleticism that still works as his most valuable on screen strength, allowing him to make fight choreography come off as a seamless punchy ballet. A series of movements that looks like something he pulled out of his back pocket.
