With a few tweaks, there is a strong movie in here. I just wish that some of the writing didn’t feel as flat and that there was a strong demographic group for the film.

This is a story that needed to be told, and I am glad I had the chance to discover who Charlotte Salomon was. However, she also deserved a better film than this.

With the vibrant soundtrack, gorgeous production and some of the best numbers in a long time such as '96,000' and 'Benny's Dispatch', there's no doubt that In The Heights makes my top five.
