Clayface's greatest strength is its intentionality. General audiences might really balk at that — especially the body horror aspects. Still, the film's complete lack of identity crisis is going to go a very long way with fans.

For all its issues, "Verity" feels like the perfect movie to put on with your girlfriends. It might not hold everyone’s attention, but it’s probably great fun to scream-laugh with as the absurdities unfold.

Every once in a while, you’re lucky enough to watch a film that makes you feel like you can run through a brick wall. I’m thrilled to report that Joko Anwar’s Ghost in the Cell is one such film.

Kick On joins the pantheon of delightfully mean Austrian horror flicks, featuring noteworthy performances from all of its cast, but particularly that of Kavenagh, Nikolaeff, and Ras-Samuel.

Intent is essential in witchcraft — something the film even goes out of its way to acknowledge — and, unfortunately, a lack of intent holds The Heretiks back from conjuring so much as a spark.

Downey’s The Cycle is one of the most competent creature features we’ve seen in a long time. It’s also scrappy, which is icing on the cake, but those accolades don’t come with the "for its budget" asterisk.

Primetime is, ultimately, a well made and even better performed film. It’s profoundly frustrating that the light it shines on an ongoing Hollywood issue reflects directly back on its own production.

Cregger's take on RESIDENT EVIL unravels at the end. Still, the first two and a half acts are great enough that I'm able to move past it. Overall, RESIDENT EVIL (2026) manages to be one of the more impressive video game adaptations of our time.

PRACTICAL MAGIC's sequel is flawed in new ways from the original, but Bullock and Kidman don't miss a beat, Pace coupled with Bier's direction is the hottest he's ever been, and Franny & Jet are the loves of my life.

Because It Ends is a stripped bare kind of story, relying more on a bare bones minimalistic approach rather than coming at your senses from all directions, the film lives and dies by Ullom’s visuals and the small cast’s performances. All are great.
